RV Resort, Park, & Campground Owners Turn to WiFiRV for Help in 2008

Increased Demand for Wireless Internet makes it the #1 Amenity for Park Visitors

WESTPORT, CT – December 22, 2008 – WiFiRV, the premier provider of WiFi Internet services in the United States for the outdoor recreational hospitality industry, reports continued growth for 2008 and a new budget of $1,500,000 to invest wireless services for the RV industry in 2009.

The tough economy has increased demand for WiFi technology. It’s the most economical way to get Internet to campers but WiFiRV warns property owners and managers; WiFi is not without challenges if not planned well in advance. Choosing a technology partner that educates and has nationwide coverage is important if you seek reliability. Once a WiFi amenity is installed there is no turning back – campers demand it to stay happy!

Consistent high-speed WiFi Internet access is what property managers want but this not easy to accomplish without proper planning. RV parks, campgrounds, and resorts were geographically located so people could “get away from it all” but now they want to be away from it all and take it all with them too. WiFiRV has prioritized where to invest through affiliation with property owner, management, and financial investment groups in the RV industry.

Benefits through alliances garner access to thought leaders and in turn offer options to provide group discounts, wise financial planning, and technology selection diligence.

“In 2002 we started WiFiRV when we recognized a need to help travelers stay connected on the road,” stated John Borg II, CEO and Founder of WiFiRV. “We created simple Do-It-Yourself-WiFi systems, complex managed bandwidth amenities, and everything in between to give owners a choice.”

Since founding WiFiRV, Borg has seen the benefits of WiFi amenities in RV parks, resorts, and campgrounds. Properties consistently report increased occupancies and loyalty. To date WiFiRV has invested $2,500,000 in capital, labor services, and equipment to bring parks online and continues to support the market.

When considering WiFi usage, demographics, terrain, and weather all need to be factored to ensure reliability. Designing the right amenity for the environment is critical to success. Not all properties are a good fit for a WiFi solution, despite what the RV travelers and patrons may demand…

Wireless Service RV Accessory Options Available Across the U.S. Through Passport America, WiFiRV

RV accessory options have become greatly advanced with the announcement that WiFiRV is now the preferred WiFi wireless service provider for Passport America

Passport America and WiFiRV are proud to announce they have teamed up to strengthen RV accessory options within the wireless service sector.

A recent survey found most RVers prefer a WiFi amenity more than a swimming pool. As a result of this demand, Passport America (http://www.Passport-America.com) entered into an alliance with WiFiRV to help its members get wireless service access wherever they go.

Ray Fernandez, Passport America owner, represents 140,000 members and 1,300 campground owners through his 50% camping club. As a campground owner who originally spent a lot of money on advertising to attract guests, he knows the value of RV accessory amenities like WiFi.

Fernandez spent nearly two years looking for a wireless service company to partner with and says, "Many WiFi providers are going out of business because they don't understand the industry. Most WiFi companies charge large up-front fees, install unreliable technology, and leave the risks in park owner's hands."

Fernandez was pleased to find through personal experience that WiFiRV (http://www.wifirv.com) has resolved how to address these issues.

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) reports that RV sales are the best they have been in 30 years. RV owning households will rise to 8.5 million by 2010 and with more than 16,000 campgrounds nationwide, it's pretty clear that WiFi technology is here to stay. Passport America partnered with WiFiRV (http://www.WiFiRV.com) because they have a business model that works.

"WiFiRV invests in the parks instead of takes from them," says Ray Fernandez. Property owners in most hospitality sectors are commonly paid for right of access to their guests, but the RV
industry hasn't been operating like that until WiFiRV came along and started showing RV resort owners their program, and the need for WiFi RV accessory options.

"If a WiFi provider cannot demonstrate long-term commitment or staying power, then the amenity won't get upgraded and that causes all sorts of headaches my members don't want," states Ray Fernandez.

Barbara Cournoyer, Manager of Whispering Palms RV Resort, was one of the first Passport America resorts to sign up for the RV accessory program. "Our corporate headquarters put WiFiRV through a rigorous financial due diligence to determine solvency and staying power," she says. "Quickly we found out that this 'little known' wireless service provider actually is a division of a large and established corporation that has been in operation since 2002.

It's just as WiFiRV says, the amenity generates profits instead of bills."

John Borg II, founder of WiFiRV, said, "We co-developed a program with Passport America that invests in the success of our partner locations. Our team of nationwide installers and 24x7 support staff are working with Passport America staff to inform member parks about our WiFi programs and to ensure trouble-free operation of existing installations."
